in the FAQ post above Peter states that runtime with 2 Lith AA's is ~3 hrs.
I noted from Roy's runtime plots that the KL1 with Alks lasts longer than with a 123, but the KL1 falls quickly out of regulation.
If I use the 2AA lith and LSH-P, will the output be flat or will it mimic the KL1 ski slope?

I haven't seen a runtime graph with the AA lithiums but I would imagine the output would be much flatter than an Alkaline. This difference is caused by the battery chemistry and not the circuit.

In a high current drain device like the LS or the KL1, alkalines simply don't do very well. For the 2AA pack, I strongly recommend using NiMH rechargeables.

For general use, I recommend the TSP-123 pack with lisun cells.

thank YOU Peter.

I was thinking about camping and battery "commonality" with other lights. Maybe I will just have to go all 123's rather than AA, 123, AAA etc...
