First off, the runtime is very misleading. LedLenser seems to post runtimes that go till the LED is not visibly glowing.
Check this review(not much info but could help). LedLenser and Coast are the same company from what I know.
IMO if you want a pen light, go for the Streamlight Stylus, Microstream, Stylus Pro, or Fenix E01 with Clip. I'm probably forgetting some.

That explains a lot, I wondered how they got such long runtimes I assumed it was with Lithium batteries. Also what other 3 N(LR 1) penlights are there?

Well I bought it today for $10 plus shipping which seems like a really good price for a flashlight thats made in Germany.

Designed in Germany, and made cheaply in China, and sold at heavy markup because they have a "German-Made Image".

Thats a big disappointment. BTW are there any lights that are made in Germany or anywhere Europe?

Well I got it in the mail today. I don't like that its made in China but it seems well built. I tried it compaired to a 2AA pen light and a Pelican Mitylite 3N LED and it out performed both of them.
