Default Light output on my Romisen RC-G4 isnt as bright anymore

I recently bought a Romisen RC-G4 flashlight and when I got it, it was impressed by how bight it is! This is my first CREE flashlight and it rocks. But yesterday, all of sudden the light output it only about half of what it was. It still has the 3 modes (Hi/Low/Strobe) but all 3 of them are not at bright. The batteries are fully charged (18650 sitting at about 4.2v) Does anybody have any idea what may have caused this or what possible fix there is besides replacing the emitter?

Hey Tempsho, I also have a Romisen light, mine is a RC-T5 (QUAD led Head) and I have lost 3 of the 4 LEDS. The modes also still work fine,(high med strobe) but I have only 1 led working out of 4. I have also posted a request for help but so far no replies. I cant get my bezel off, I assume it is glued on. Do you have any experience with this? Hope you get some answers.

    one gets what one pays.
Sorry, but thats the way it goes.

Those lights are very low priced "entry level" with substandard quality in building efforts.
If You liked it, purchase - f.e. - a Jetbeam Jet III model ...
... or another model from one of the other respected makers mentionned here.

Could be a poor contact somewhere. Try cleaning the tail spring and the head positive contact with alcohol. If this doesn't work then you could be having a contact fail. I had a similar problem with a Romisen RC-W4 and I fixed it buy putting a pint of solder between the driver's ground and the pill.

We use a couple of the RC-T5's for work and they started flickering a bit and dimming. I went all over the things until I got to the clicky cap. Both of the interior plates (metal-screwin type) were VERY loose. I took the tip of a multimeter probe and screwed them back down. IIRC it took at least three or four full turns. They worked fine after that. I had to go back and really snug them down again but they've been fine so far.
