Nitecore D10 always ramping, HELP

I received my D10 Q5 today, clicked on/off 3/4 times and it worked fine. Then press clicked it to fix a certain brightness and now it keeps on ramping up & down.

I have looked over the intro video from nitecoreusa a few times but can´t get mine to work.

Need some help here or is the light defective ?

Sounds like your split ring might be stuck. First off, it could just be that the head is tightened down too much. Try loosening the head slightly - just an eighth of a turn or so.

If that doesn't help, take a look at the split ring itself. If you unscrew the head, you should see inside what looks like a brass ring with a small gap in it running around the circuit board. Try gently rotating the ring by carefully pushing with a small screwdriver or similar object against the gap in the ring (be careful not to scratch or damage anything on the circuit board itself).

Once you've freed the ring up it should work OK.

No. Still doesn´t work ok. Keeps om going up & down continuously.

Tries with a toothpick and the ring goes up and down, isn´t stuck.
