As above really - looking for a throwing fenix with a tape switch option. R2 sounds good platform but how is this rated against the likes of DBS or Tiablo A8/9 please.

Like the fact it is also running on 18650's.

Your observations (good and bad) would be appreciated.

Range required out to 50 yards maybe 60/70 if it has the legs.

Thanks

70yds should be no problem for the TK11 R2. I don't have any personal experience with the tape switch, so I can't comment on that.

Hey, got both the TK11(Q5 version though) and a DBS w/ SMO reflector but do not have the A9. DBS obviously is the better thrower b/c of the bigger and deeper reflector but the TK11 does do well against the DBS.

To answer your question, both will go beyond the 50-70 yards your after. The TK11's hotspot is bigger and more "useable" for general throwing IMO, whereas the DBS is more of a "bouncing ball" when shining at buildings and such.

They are both well regulated (R2 version for the TK11). TK11 pulling in about 3hrs on high and DBS with 1.5hrs on high.
