Hi guys, I would like someone to advice and check my math on a future build.
I got a heatsink from Darkzero to fit into the KT-4 head and would like to build a 3 X MC-E head.

Here is my plan, can someone check if this can work

Option 1 (good compromise for brightness with run time)

3 X MC- E 2S2P config.
1 X Shark Buck 1A with remora.
Each die will receive 500mA.
MC-E is connected in parallel to Shark Buck. So Vf should be around 6.8V.
Power is from 2x17650 or 3xRCR 123s.

Option 2 (max brightness, least run time)

3 X MC-E Series config
1 X Shark Boost 3A with remora
Each die will receive 700mA.
MC-E is connected in parallel to Shark Boost. So Vf should be around 13.6V
Power is from 2x17650

Option 3

3 X MC-E Parallel config
1 X Shark Buck 3A with remora
Each die will receive 250mA.
MC-E is connected in parallel to Shark Buck. So VF should be around 3.4 V?
Power is from 2x17650 or 3xRCR 123s

Could anyone check if what I just wrote is viable? Which one would for reasonable amount of runtime with 2x17650 or 3xRCR 123s?

Thank you very much for your time. Please feel free to correct or educate me. Thanks
Des

If you are using the MC-E in S2SP config, the Vf will be approx 6.8V no matter how many individual MC-E's you connect in parallel. The same goes for the series connected option (Vf will be approx 13.6V). Only the parallel configuration will have a Vf of 3.4V. With 3xMC-E in parallel, you effectively have 12 die to drive, if you want to run each die at 500mA, then you will need a 6A driver.....
