Best Upgrade for a Maglite Rechargeable?

Just what the title says, looking for the best upgrade for my maglite rechargebale. What are my options?

Sadly that pattern you describe is a fact of life. You could try a Terralux LED Conversion module which will give an incredible white beam. Sadly the beam is fixed. And the module is not authorised by Mag in any way. But that have proved to be the way ahead for many.

Just spin the head until you have a spot light with no black spots and leave it there... the hole in the middle is the effect of having a reflector that can reflect a light in a beam for up to a little over a thousand feet. It's a manual setting... but you can get rid of it...
