Looking for light at $30-$40 range

I'm looking for a new light. I would prefer a single cell flashlight. I would like cr123a battery powered ones though. I also would prefer a clicky flashlight. Another thing is I prefer LED. I only own a fenix L2D q5. I like that it has great spill, and how ergonomic it feels to me. So I would prefer a small flashlight that has more throw. I'm not that picky though. I'm still a newbie.:welcome:

Really, nobody can recommend a light without knowing more specifics. And if you don't know more specifics, how are you going to pick between any recommendations you receive?

(You could at least list what lights you have, and what you like and dislike about them...)

This is my new favorite for everyday carry http://www.itplight.com/product_list.asp?bid=13&sid=10 its very bright for its size and has great adjustment, for the price the ITP lights are tough to beat.

With the CPF coupon code you could get a Fenix LD01 from 4sevens for a tiny bit over $40. At the lower end of your budget you could get a Romisen RC-G2 (single AA) from shiningbeam, or a Romisen RC-N3 (1 x CR123 or 2 x AA) also from shiningbeam.

I just noticed you asked for single CR123. Sorry about that. :thinking: The RC-N3 is still okay if you secretly want to keep to the low end of your budget.

A small flashlight's throw is limited by it's reflector/optic size.

Yeah I would recommend the rc-n3 2 as well from shiningbeam. It uses the 1xcr123a format and if you want it can do 2xaa too, its nice to have the option. 2 stages and a q5 led. 25 bucks.
