Hey guys Im really new at this so please be patient with me. I am looking at a M60 dropin for my Surefire G2 LED flashlight. I bought this light for a self defense light. So I want something that will blind someone and light up the area pretty good. I will also be edc'ing this light because im about to get a new holster from a very nice guy. :twothumbs So I was wondering what you guys thoughts were about these two drop ins.

Obviously im leaning more towards the 235 lumens just because its so bright. Im just scared the batteries wont last long enough. Maybe an 1 1/2 is plenty of time though. What do you guys think?

The Surefire G2 is a polymer light, so the M60 could overheat if you use it for too long. For the G2, the M60L or M60LL would be a better choice.

1.5 hours runtime is still longer then the stock P60.

Since the G2 LED has the metal head would it still run risk of overheating?
Also do you know where I could find maybe a side by side comparison picture of the M60, and the M60L?

The G2L has a metal head which would mean you can use the M60. Sorry, I somehow skipped the LED portion.

Search "m60 vs m60L" and found this, scroll down a bit for beamshots.

So with regular cr123 batteries and a m60 what output you think you would get in lumens?
And then that again in the M60L?
Would either one of these be good self defense lights for checking things outside when they go bump in the night, and inside?
