Hello, I have a Surefire z40 LOTC but couldn't find any info on it and was wondering if it was replaced by the z41 (and if not what the difference is)? Thanks

seems like the newer Z41 has a smaller button and different etchings but they should be functionally identical. al will probably know better though.

I think the Z40 was identical to the Z41 only that the Z41 has some special membrane inside making it waterproof - the Z40 doesn't have that.

Klaus is correct - The Z41 has always been sold as the waterproof option.
I'm not sure why the Z40 is even made since the switch can't be replaced with an Sxx.

It's a tape pressure switch at the end of a cable of xx inches length. They replace the Classic non-LockOut TailCap puch button pressure switches.

If you google "S06" you may find a photo of it.

Or you can email me as I have an S06.
