Fenix E20 surprise!

Anyone run theirs with the head off? Talk about a great flood light! It seems like it would be perfect as a camp light as it easily lights up an entire 20X20 foot room.I need to figure out how to get that darned reflector out and see how it looks with the head on.I know i will lose some flood but bet it will still work great.Give it a shot.

Can you do this with a LD20?

You can't do this on LD10/LD20/L2D/L1D without opening the head, as the led sits INSIDE the head, not on top of the body. It is possible, but requires some special tricks and it's not something I would consider unless I wanted to mod the light into something else.

Sry there is no diffuser for Fenix E series, only for L/P and TK series.

I ment for the LD series. Works like charm for me. Use it with my LD20 on hiking/camping trips all the time.

A diffuser is OK but i tell you i can't believe how great the flood is on mine! No diffuser will make this kind of flood.I'm having my machine shop turn out the id of the reflector so i can use it with the head on as the reflector holds the lens in place.
