I was going to build a Triple P7 mag with Active cooling like this one
here: http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/...d.php?t=208585
But the project is now aborted, too many projects, not enough time.

Big copper heat sink for sale, can mount 3 or 4 P7 on it.
It's about 1.6" diameter, 1" Thick. Weight in over half a pound.
With the fan, it's 10 Oz. The Fan says 12v DC but Runs with volt anywhere between 6v-12v. The fan need only the black & red wires to run, not sure what the blue wire is for.

You can remove the fan or You can also cut 3-4 heat sink out of this chunk if you just need a thinner copper disk for each project.

Selling for $24.
$4 CanUS shipping with Cash paypal. US only.
CC paypal add $1 fee.

One fan blade has a small chip. Side of heat sink has has cutting mark
(I cut this out of a bigger Chunk Alu housing), has minor hairline surface scratches on top surface.

This is about 1.6" diameter. Mag D tube is 1.5" outer diameter,
Mag D tube inside diameter will be smaller than 1.5".

This will not go in as is.

You'll need sanding or filing to get it go inside a D tube.

Re: FS: Active Cooled Big Copper Heat Sink for multi p7

the extra line goes to an RPM sensor...which relay the information to the user when used in the computer...I'd have it snipped for your project.

There are some fans where forward biasing the wire with 5V will send it into "turbo" mode...but I have not seen a fan like that for several years...wayyy before I threw out my old IBM 386[?] that had a "turbo" button in the front panel that allows you to "mildly overclock" for programs that needed a higher speed...from 60mhz to 75mhz, wo0t:ohgeez:

Glad you got it.

If you look at the scale, it's 20x the weight than the P7 heat sink for C-mag.

May be even able to support Tri P7 without a fan?
I believe the copper heat sink capacity is 2x of aluminum.
(I am not sure, someone correct me if I wrong.)

Which means this chunk will have 40x heat soaking capacity
than the P7 mag C heat sink.

I've seen some Tri P7 mag built but they can only run 4-10 min on high
before the head gets too hot to touch.
Can't wait if you turn this into a Multi p7 project that can actually run full time.
