(1) Like new River Rock 2C modded with a D-bin Seoul P7 and powered by one 18650 Li-Ion battery (battery not included).
The original reflector is modified to fit the P7 LED which is mounted on an
aluminum heatsink with Arctic Alumina epoxy and run by
direct drive. The 18650 battery fits perfectly in the provided adapter
sleeve. The sleeve is a light press fit in the tube and will not
fall out, but it's easily removable. The original spring has an extension to
reach the 18650 cell.

Light output in a ceiling bounce test is slightly less than a Mag 2C with a
direct drive P7, DX reflector and UCL lens. There is probably
some loss in output due to the heavy reflector texture and plastic lens. The
beam quality is very smooth with no clearly defined hotspot.
It's brighter in the middle and fades slightly to the edge somewhat like a
Surefire L4, but much brighter. An intense close up beam, but
not much throw, again, similar to an L4. There is no X or doughnut even at
one inch from a wall. After several minutes of running it gets
warm, but not too hot at the base of the head as long as you are
holding in your hand.

SOLD to Litefuse

Does #1 come with a glass lens? I like that you took the extra care to do the ground mod and the switch re-wiring for me.

Hi Sgt.,
No, sorry, they don't come with a glass lens. My plan is keep the price down for the basic light to make it affordable. An aftermarket lens or reflector is something that a person can add themselves later when they save up a few more bucks. It seemed to me that there were no quality mid-priced P7 lights between the $40 DX lights and the $150-$160 lights like the Fenix, EagleTac, etc. so I'm trying to fill that gap.

Another objective was to keep it simple, affordable and durable for Law Enforcement Officers. Right now I have a 2C/P7 light loaned out to a friend who's an LEO for him and his coworkers to test out.

If someone wanted a D2Flex driver, I could do that as an extra cost option.
I can also build lights to order in other configurations or colors like a 2D/3C mod.

Thanks for your interest and comment! :twothumbs

A very good plan, higher quality than DX, lower cost the most CPF modders offer.
Blue and especially red hosts do sell faster on CPF but black and pewter are good work light colors.

Re: FS: Three P7 Modded Lights *REDUCED*

I think these are nice mods at a good price point. :)

Is the RR P7 the same tint as the other two? That's the only light where you don't specify the bin code. I suppose that it could be just the weaker, more diffuse beam of the RR, but that shot of the shed looks greenish compared to the very white 2C shot below it, so that's why I'm wondering if it's the same emitter as the other two. Thanks!

Re: FS: Three P7 Modded Lights *REDUCED*

Thank you!

The River Rock has a DSWNJ just like the Maglite and they all came from the same batch.
In person it doesn't look green, it just isn't as bright because the beam is more diffused. Everything is lit evenly.

Here is a beamshot in another thread:
https://www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/229523

The wall in these photos is not white, it's a light tan. Also, the Maglite in these photos has a cooler bin than the ones in the sale.

The is likely to be the one and only River Rock 2C I will build unless there is more interest in it. Everyone keeps saying how much they love the "wall of light" from a Surefire L4, but this light has a much smoother beam with no doughnut hole and MUCH more output.

Re: FS: Four P7 Modded Lights *New Blue 2D/3C*

Could you possibly sell resistance fixed mag D switches?
I could use one and I don't want to "learn" with the only one I have on hand. I always destroy something the first go around.

If not then consider this a free bump back to page one instead of page four! :)

Re: FS: Four P7 Modded Lights *New Blue 2D/3C*

It's for a Malkoff triple.

I am running it on 3 D alkaline and it can handle 9V so I figure I'd eliminate what resistance I could. The tailcap spring was simple the switch mod probably is too but like I said the first try is usually fatal.
