Hey!

I just got my U2 today. I have to say it's a really neat light. It's smaller than I though it would be (good thing). Anodizing looks great!

I was wondering if it will fit the rechargeable battery (18650) in case that I take that route. It's the newer version with SSC P4 and the serial number is A40158 if that helps. Also, it doesn't have the plastic sleeve in the tube.

Help is appreciated. thanks.

:welcome: abacus.

The newer U2's don't fit 18650's (or even 17670's). The very first ones did, but they've changed the ID since to prevent li-ion use.

Oh well, I guess I'll stick to normal batteries then.
Thanks greenLED! :)

It might be possible to bore it out. I did that on my U2. Mine was after the plastic sleeve but way before the U2A. One of the forums members did the work for me and even re-chemical treated the inside. (There is a slight golden hue on the inside of the U2 and probably all SF lights, which is a chemical treatment)
