SF L1 clip change?

Hi,

I've looked around and couldn't find anything. I was wondering if you could change the L1 Cree clip out for the E1B clip. It would make it easier to carry for me.

Or is there another clip, aftermarket, that could be used to carry the L1 head down.

I think they can be interchanged, but I'm not 100% sure. You just need to take the head off, remove the o-ring, then wiggle the clip from side to side with a pair of pliers while pulling it out at the same side. There's a small plastic shim under the clip to help hold it in place, so be careful not to lose it. You may end up scratching the clip if you use pliers like I did though, so be aware of that possibility before you start.

To remove the clip, take a piece of paracord and pull the clip towards the bezel.
The pic is not a SF but they work the same.
This method will prevent it from plier marks.

Not sure if the E1B clip is compatible.

That's how i use my L1 with the E1B 's clip.Head down in the pocket is how i prefer to carry my lights,
and i use the L1's clip on the E1B,easier to clip on a hat.
