While I love my ndi, I'm always looking for more power. Specs say 190 with a 14500. Its bright for a single AA light. However I was curious if there were any led upgrades for more power. Maybe something with less spill? Or would I need a different reflector for that? Forgive me I am new, and yes I searched.

To change the beam pattern you'll need a different reflector, or in this case, probably an optic.
You can switch in a Cree XR-E R2 bin for a bit more output but the difference will be barely visible(if visible at all) to the eye.

You could try a SSC P4 mod. I did a mod on a D20 for concept0 that turned out pretty nice, with a tighter beam, but lower output, due to the fact the led I used was and S2 bin. If you put a U-bin SSC in it, you should have a slightly more intense, and tighter beam than with a Q5 Cree.
