So somebody asked for beam shots of the new Strion LED in another thread. Here are comparison shots of a Novatac 120T on high (120lumens), The Streamlight SuperTac, and the Strion on High.

None of these are good shots and all are much brighter in person.

Super-Tac (Much brighter in the room then it seems, throws fantastically)

Strion LED A bit less throw then the Super-Tac more light in its flood.

Thanks! It seems in the pics that the three lights each have an equal size hotspot, which is unlikely at any greater range. The Strion seems to be much brighter than the Novatac as far as total output. Does the Strion have rings as was mentioned before?

Up close the Strion does have a bit of an outer ring. In practical use it is not noticeable.

I think the reason the hot spots look similar is the spill from the white wall / exacerbating it. In practical use the NT120 has much more flood then either of the two Streamlights. The Super-Tac is a fantastic thrower with a dimmer spill, although still very useful amount of light in the spill. Strion splits the difference between the two good throw lots of spill.

The Strion is brighter then the Novatac.
