YouTube to start charging per view...?

They're obviously going to try to follow Hulu's footsteps. It doesn't make much sense to both charge and have commercials, unless the content is very exclusive, like HBO or special sports events. People would be more willing to pay a dollar or so to watch their favorite weekly premium cable show, as opposed to tacking on another $15-20 to their cable bill..

Im sure someone would create a new free video website if this were to come about. The best nature of the internet is free info and such. Someone would start it.

Yeah, to me it sounded like they want to introduce a way to allow charging-per-view, not necessarily to force it on every video.
