NiteCore, 4Sevens, who licensed the McGizmo piston drive?

On this youtube video (4sevens' instructional video on the D10/SmartPD), 4sevens states that "we" licensed the piston drive from Don/McGizmo (or so I heard).

Which leaves me asking? Did 4sevens license it? Or did NiteCore license it? Or is 4sevens connected to NiteCore?

I remember the smart PD series was collaboration between NC and 47.

This was covered on another forum, it is basically a private matter that from what I know was handled above board. The design was not patented so technically it was not licensed however an appropriate gentleman's agreement was reached.
