Hello
I have a old school surefire 6r,the tailcap reads, laser products fountain valley ca sure fire 6r,it looks like a 6p i have a old 6p and they are they same,have they labeled it wrong with a 6r instead of a 6p thanx.............. :ohgeez:

6R was the rechargeable version of a 6P. When purchased as a complete light (tube extender, R60 lamp module, B65 battery and charger) the tailcap was labeled as "6R"

The body extender used by the 6R is the A14.
SureFire withdrew the R60 Lamp Assembly finding that their P60 Lamp Assembly was fine for either two-SF123A batteries in the 6P, or one B65 NiCad battery stick in the 6R.
