Olight M20 Diffuser not "hugging" bezel securely

Hey guys, I have an Olight M20, and I also purchased the white diffuser for pure flood. I have found that although the rubber inside the diffuser is quite "sticky," it does not attach as securely as I like, and can be removed quite easily. Is there a way to make it "hug" the bezel tighter?

Is the rubber that the diffuser is made up of, affected by heat or cold? If it is, then maybe you can warm it up gently and it will stay on more securely. Rubber often becomes less flexible and therefore less able to grip when cool.

Also, does anyone know what the little nub/hole on the diffuser is for?
