I'm about to do my first mod – a ROP with low bulb at 6v. It's for work. I'd like a clean beam, minimal artifacts, but still really good throw.
The throwmaster LOP is available with 12mm reflector opening only, which seems like it will waste light down the hole that should be 8.33mm. If the Throwmaster were 8.33mm I would get it. The Hybrid FM2 has the 8.33mm opening but is MOP. It's a much less expensive option, which is nice, will really clean up the beam, but will it hurt the throw much? As the only point of reference I have, would the MOP Hybrid with ROP Low at 290lumens throw as far as a stock 200ish lumen mag charger?
For those who have these items, which should I get? Thanks in advance!
