Will a tapeswitch work on a 5-mode l2?

Has anyone used a 5 mode L2 (with memory) in conjunction w/ a tapeswitch - or will it be a frustrating unpredictable experience?

I was looking at using a l2 5 mode in it's med or low setting to get more runtime.

Planning on an 18650 body whether 5 mode or single mode.

I haven't but the way they work it will probably be a frustrating experience. Anytime you shut off for less than the timing for a mode change you'll change modes. Being surprised by mode changes is not the thing you want on a weapon light.
