Think about it... Both Movie stars, both were tip top shape in their day but now both a bit long in the tooth.

I thought it was sudden death syndrome?
Not really, since the batteries are simply asleep, and can be woken when a voltage is applied for an extended period of time.

However,
Overdischarge = Coma
Most lithium ion batteries don't come out of comas, and are simply taken off life support (and thrown away).

Speaking of which,
Battery charger = Adrenaline injection
