Isn't the 25th a holiday in the US?

I guess I should have waited, as I should have another AW 2200 mAh 18650 waiting for me when I get home tonight.

yeah, 25th = Memorial Day, its an US only holiday...and AW isn't US based, so I don't see it as an intentional mistake

2600?!
how did they manage to do that?
considering AW cells are already shortened to compensate for their protection PCBs.... :wow:

There is no button top on the new AW 2600 mAh cells.
AW indicated that they'd be 70 mm long if they had the button top.

5mm doesn't seem to be that big of a size difference to make a 400 mAh increase in capacity though.

Just a quick question . . . .

Will the Olight M20 Warrior be happy with a " flat-top " battery ?

Thank you.

:thanks:

Very interesting. When someone gets a few, can they post OD measurements if possible? I am assuming the OD will be exactly the same as the 2200 18650's, but you never know...

I hope someone does a discharge test to see how much true capacity it has.

According to my calipers, the ID of the black, as well as the grey, L2 18650 tube is 18.90mm.

I have used AW 17670 cells in the L2 18650 without any problems with the length.

Thanks for measuring that for me. I will definitely be in for a couple of these cells. I just hope that the 2600mah rating is close to actual output.

I have no doubt we'll see capacity and spatial measurements all over CPF once a few gurus get their hands on some cells.

They may not have button tops but there are 3 raised bumps on the -ve side to make series connection.

I measured my 2200mAh AW button top cells just using a ruler and they are all around 68mm long including the button top so I don't think there will be any fitment issues with the new cells unless the fit is already very tight.
