In Surefire's pictures the two appear to have a different color of anodizing. Additionally, the hardness of the C2-HA's coating is hyped more, possibly just in comparison to the C2. Are the coatings actually different? If so, are Surefire's pictures representative of the colors? Thanks.

SureFire's anodizing (and indeed that of other manufacturers) has a considerable degree of variation. There will often be noticeably differences in anodizing between two otherwise identical lights, and in SureFire's case differences between their earlier anodizing and present offerings.

The C2-HA and C2L-HA only differ in their engravings and use of the P60 and P60L, respectively. There won't be any difference in anodizing between the two models in general. They both use Type III, and so should be just as tough as each other.

if you are reffering to the pictures on the surefire website, the one for the C2 HA is long out of date. C2 HAs all have generally the same color as the C2L now. THe only differnce between the C2L and the C2HA is the white wording on the body, and the Drop-in

I have both the C2-HA and the C2L-HA and apart from the usual slight variations you get with any HA they both seem the same.
