Ah yes another Mag D cell question.

Alright, I been thinking about getting a Maglite 4D or 3D just for the purpose of putting a P7 type in it. Now I want to know what options are out there for P7 drop ins? Maybe an MC-E? I would like to keep the original beam adjustment option so I'd like to stay with the SMO reflector. I'd like to keep the stock black look and nothing really fancy. Kind of a "Sleeper" type of maglite. I also would like to know what kind of battery options would be available for this type of setup? 18650s maybe? NiMH D cell rechargables? Whats the benefits of using NiMH over Lithiums? I would like to be able to use this with my mag-lite holster at work and really have a light that shines but still have around atleast 200+ meters of throw I noticed thats about what I would need. Any thoughts or comments are free to post here.

yes I did but I want to see some people who actually DONE IT. Is it hard to mod a mag to take 18650s or not?
