Does anyone else not like the look/style of the over-fussy heads of these torches?

They look like nice models - just I prefer a simpler design.

For some people the head is nice, you can use now the head as a deep impact and fast weapon :poke:,.... The head is also nice for outdoor people, when you are walking thru the ice you can stick your head of your light into the ice and put yourself up.... If u know what i mean.

I'm not keen on the cigar holder on the tailcap.

The UI seems too busy for me - prefer my lights with 5 modes or less.

I wonder how flat the output is on 18650s? I enjoy that second picture, it looks like he's hunting humans.

i would hate all of the modes, however i find them to be more usable seeing as it is as simple as turning a ring. and i like that strobe is marked with a x

TA21: I didn´t like the design (specially the head). Didn´t like zillions modes either. I love KISS concept lights...

TA20: I like 4 modes lights, I like the revolving dimmer system, but I didn´t like the head design too...

If Fenix TA20 takes 18650 as well and offers flat regulation = :paypal:

I think the modes are pretty ok if the revolving system is smooth, basically a knob for increasing/decreasing the brightness to a required output.
Don't like the cigar holder though. Liking the overall aesthetic so far, very...fierce looking.

I'm Chris Hansen. Why don't you have a seat over there?

Seously, what makes this a hunting light? They don't use a neutral emitter, which would help with blood trails better than the Q5 and it doesn't have green light, for signalling or whatever (it's what hunters are supposed to use) or red and blue for finding blood.
