Now that the LED times have since progressed beyond the reach and perhaps beyond the comprehension of lumileds, what have you done with them?
With many components expertly/primitively epoxied in place taking apart them might cost more than simply building another one. I'm sure many here with sufficient modding ability or patience may have upgraded their mag mods to using improved LEDs. What about those that didn't/couldn't/wouldn't?
I'm hoping some time in the future I maybe able to acquire a couple tri-Lux mag mods for cheaper than production prices, but this is not the intention of this thread.
Theres nothing wrong with Luxeons, and frankly its still the brightest LEDs compared to 5mm LEDs in the eyes of the general public. I figured I may be able to put some into use with some good, trustworthy friends or use them around people instead of my good lights for fear of AWOL.
