Would my SF E2L light up direct drive with 1 AA?

If I found or made a 1AA holder to fit into the 2 x CR123 body of my SF E2L ... would it drain the alkaline via direct drive?

Not the best setup but just curious if I was in a situation and ran out of CR123 batteries if this would work.

Thanks!

A RCR14500 might work.. you´ll need atleast 3.2V. I guess..
1.5 will not work..

That's way below the voltage necessary to get any current to flow through a white XR-E or SSC P4. XR-E datasheet shows no current at about 2.75V. A lower Vf emitter might just give you a glimmer on 2xAA but not one.
