It's a stock KL1, so I believe it can take 3-9 volts.
3-6 volts for sure, I have not tried 9 volts, but all the reports I've seen say up to 9V.

No, not at all!
It's a sweet IMS20 reflector pattern with seoul smooth beam. You get good throw with a nice bright spill. Not like the TIR at all!
Good question btw. Tint is pure, slightly cool white.
