I have herd that led lights will dim over time. Is this true, and if so how much? My Rayovac highbeam 3w seems a lot dimmer than it used to. And will strobing a led shortin life span? I would like my Olight m30 to stay bright forever.:D

Yes, LED's do dim over time, but it depends on how hard you drive them and how well they are heatsinked.

Done correctly, it can be tens of thousands of hours. Done incorrectly, they could dim in minutes.

Strobe has no harmful effects whatsoever.

Will using 18650s or 18500s have any affect?

Typically no, but again it depends entirely on the characteristics of the light itself.

Just enjoy your lights and not worry about it. Most lights will be long outdated, forgotten, or destroyed long before you notice any dimming.

I have three of 4sevens light bars and several LED's are dimming and flickering , and 4 or 5 on each bar have burned out.

I was hoping that would not be the case , but ..........

That was an expensive BETA test
