I don't need to use my flashlights in may-june-july... next sunset at july 15.

Between december 12. and 30. the sun doesn't rise at all, so I have to use my flashlights all day. :twothumbs

I think it'd be cool to have a TDY job assignment or something during the months of continuous night up north.

I wouldn't want to live up there, but it'd be fun to experience for a while!

(heh, sometimes I feel kinda like a vampire because I don't much like to go out in the sun. I prefer to do my outdoor stuff either real early or late in the evening)

BTW, back on topic:

A site called wunderground shows the following information --

"Length of Day 14h 27m
Tomorrow will be 0m 20s shorter."

YES!! The countdown to winter darkness begins!! :D

Are the days and nights exactly 12 hours every single day of the year at the equator or do they vary at all?

summer solstice was kicked off with a high of 100 low 85 + 90% humidity all day for 21 to 23 with no wind and no clouds.
Its the meanest summer solstice I can recall:ohgeez:
