Thought I'd post some photos I took of my new flashlights. I got the E2L in March and the A2 in June.

Man, the YG A2 looks sweet. I need to get one.

Heh, heh. I was thinking the same thing.

Now, please, someone, tell me why I NEED those chartreusse (sp?) LEDs for my low-level flood light, and give me a reason to buy one of these!!!!

Congrats on both of the new lights! It's nice to see another A2-YG around here. Of all my lights, my A2-YG is still my absolute favorite!

Thanks Robert, I had your map pic as my wallpaper as inspiration until I got my own :twothumbs Now I just need to save up for the matching Red one

That is quite a compliment to hear that you used it as your desktop background :)

Isn't it tempting to get more and more colors of the A2's? (I actually came close to buying a white A2 on CPFMP recently, but resisted :D) YG and RD is a nice combo to have, but I'll admit, my red A2 has seen very little use since I got the YG. The poor red one feels neglected now, LOL.

That pic is wallpaper worthy Robert!

Red is my favorite A2 color for most tasks but I have to say after getting a K2MS that YG is really high up on my must have list. The only reason I haven't bought one is because I'm planning getting some YG leds and using Onion Rings when they come out...

I've also got a batch of really nice warm white LEDs waiting on the ring.

I'd love to find someone who hates their YG ring, I could set them up with some nice nichia GS pure whites, or some 3500K warm whites.. or... or...

I have the Y/G version too, but it's too dim.

I've tried to replace the stock LED's with both 15 degree and 50 degree NICHIA warm-white LED's. The 15 degree has a blueish hot spot, typical of a NICHIA LED. 50 degree one is floody, the beam pattern is close to the original Y/G LED's, but less blotchy.

For people who finds Y/G too dark, NICHIA 50 degree warm-white will be a lot more usable, while retaining the same floody beam pattern.

50 degree warm-white NICHIA:

Added: A2 WW LED (50 deg) Beam Shot

Note: 12" away from the wall. I had to position the light so close to the wall so my camera can see the entire beam pattern.

I'm glad to see the E2Ls finally coming as long clipped bodies...
the short clips held very snug and occasionally I had issues trying to fasten it on clothing:thumbsdow

the short clips do function extraordinarily well on denim products and hats though:twothumbs
