this is an antique light that works of a miniture generator. Squeeze the handle and the generator starts turning and will turn for a bit to produce power, keep pumping it for more light. It will change brightness as you pump it.

It looks like the great grand father to the newer battery-less lights, I would have bought it too if I saw it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
