Am I correct in assuming the the LX2 tailcap has a higher resistor value for the low mode than the LX1 will have? I'm wondering if I were to put an LX2 tailcap on the LX1 if it will produce that lower low that alot of us CPFers' would love to have in the L1. If so, I can tell you right now that would be my next light. Any thoughts?

My guess it it will be the same as the LX2.

Since the LX1 is not out yet, we can only guess.

I don't understand how it would be the same. I'm going to email Surefire and ask. I wonder what they will say....

They will tell you something totally off the wall like only the E1B tailcap will work for you.

If both levels are regulated then the resistor is used as a sensor not as a 'throttle' which is why the bodies have a special press-fit contact ring to reduce undesirable 'interference' resistance.
