What to do with dead Fenix L2T?

I have a Fenix L2T that was given to me by someone at work because it doesn't work anymore and he thought I'd like to do something with it.

Well, I would except I can't get the board & LED assembly unscrewed from the head to either fix it or put my own mod in there. It looks like it must really be glued in there.

So my question to the board is what to do with it now. Should I buy a L1T? from which I presume the heads would be interchangeable with my L2T tube.

Should I sell it or give it away. What's its usefulness now?

Anyhow comments welcome. Thanks.

I contacted a Fenix supplier but basically the problem is that I don't have the receipt so there wasn't anything they could do.

Huh, fenix claims lifetime warranty, but will charge for parts after a year. Even if you don't have receipt it should fall in latter category.

I'm pretty sure it's a version 1.

I haven't contacted Fenix direct. Maybe I should do that. Thanks.
