E2DL Low Mode Only

For those who owned the E2DL longer than me, does the light end up having only low mode to alert you that the batteries are going low? I've used mine quite a bit, and now everytime I turn it on, it is on Low mode.

When there is no significant difference between the high mode and the low mode it is a strong hint that its time to change the batteries!

Thats the same behavior my E1B shows. Clicking back and forth results in low only. It still seems to run for hours after that though :twothumbs
