I took my Surge diving this weekend, we went to about 62' and it worked great. After the dive I noticed the batteries were running low so I changed them, now it is working intermittently. Any ideas?

Still, it can't hurt leave it open in the airing cupboard over night and try it again in the morning.
Try switching on the battery module with it out of the body by pressing and holding the little microswitch. Still intermittent?

Make sure you put the batteries in correctly. They don't go in "logically". Some of the spring contacts are backwards so be sure to go by the markings. Check the bulb to, it might be loose.

When I got my Surge (used) it had a battery in backwards.

Thanks for all the suggestions I believe it was a battery contact one of them was really compressed.

The latest version of Surge has an foam insert laid under the contact. This might eliminate the problem. Besides, the reflector problem seems has been fixed as well.
