Alright,
I've got a few mods I did up for grabs.

P1030846.jpg

1. First up is a U2 with an M-bin (430lum) WC tint emitter. $260 $250 $235 shipped conus Sold

2. Second is a new L2 with a warm 320 lumen 6B tint emitter behind a Ledil Boomerang reflector $210 $200 $190 shipped conus. Sold

3. An L4 modded into something totally other! M-bin WH tint MC-E, Fatman driver and Ledil Boomerang reflector. With 500mah going to each die, it gets very bright and warm. $225 $215 $200 shipped conus. Sold

4. Another L4, but this time just the emitter (M-bin WH tint) & heatsink have been swapped out. $200 $190 $180 shipped conus

Yet another L4, same as above except the emitter is a warm 320 lumen 6B tint. $200 $190 $180 shipped conus Sold

...And now for a quick demonstration of available tints and brightness over stock. From left to right: stock L2, warm 6B, WC and WH.

This gives an idea of what goes into one of these:

Re: Five Surefire lights with MC-E emitters

These MC-E modded SFs are a delight to own.

I have an L4 modded by darkzero with an M-bin MC-E configured 2S2P using the default driver with a Ledil Boom reflector.
It puts out a beautiful, smooth, flloody beam and its super-bright.

I am sure that a head-on photograph showing the MC-Es up clearly in these lights would make them impossible to resist.

Sounds like a plan, as you suggest: a family portrait.

Glad to see Ledil boom reflectors, how much better are they compared to the stock stochastic textured reflectors from surefire?

I can vouch for AaronM as my L4 was expertly modded by him and its been my EDC for awhile with no issues :)

Neat! Warm emitters are sooooo purty.

Aaron, are these all single-stage lights? If not, which ones are 2-stage, and what are the rough lumenages on low?

And is lumenages even a word? Discuss.

The reflectors are an even trade-off.
The boomerang has a very smooth beam and the stock reflector has a little better throw.

Edit: The L2 has a two stage tail cap and the U2 has a six level selector ring.

Bump and price drop.

...Oh yeah, low on the L2 is around 30-40 lumens.

Wish I had the funds.

I have a U2 AaronM modded with an MC-E WF tint, and that is the most brightest, best big-yard-lighter-upper I own.

 Must resist!!!!

Is that U2 capable of taking 18650 or 17670? Stock circuit, stock reflector? I am interested......I know I shouldn't.....but I am!

It can take either of those cells. The reflector and circuit are stock.

L2 is SPF.
