Re: FS: ME II w/Luminus LED SST-50.

Its roughly about 10% to 15% brighter at the same drive current. The nice thing about this LED being a single die is that it throws a perfect beam unlike an MC-E which at times has a slight X show up in the beam when a short reflector is used. I only made one of these ME II's with this LED. Its a PITA cramming things in small size.

Mike...have you tried one of these emitters in a longer and wider reflector?

If you have extra emitters, I'd be interested in a couple or a few.

Have you tried the SST-90?

Re: FS: ME II w/Luminus LED SST-50.

donn: The SST-50 will work in something like an McR27XR, kind of a long reflector. I have several of the SST-90's and they are pretty nice. The main problem with both LED's is that the need a lot of current to reach its binned brightness. Sorry, the current batch of SST-50's and 90's are all used up. I will be getting more and will put a small batch up for sale.

Getting back to the ME II with the SST-50, if you choose the multi function model and you get tired of its settings, you can send it back to have the sequence or functions changed for a small fee. This light is like a hand concealeable 10 watt HID.
