What is \"McLux\"?

I'm a newbie. My interest is in small, personal lights like the Arc or Surefire Executives or CMGs - even the StreamLight Key-Mate.

I noticed an awful lot of conversation about "McLux". I have found some pictures, but I haven't been able to find a central website. Since everyone seems to know what is meant by "McLux", I guess I need to catch up.

Can you guys help me get on board?

Thanks,
Chuck

LOCO is more like it.
Re: What is

That's pretty slick, Treek. When you put the links in like that from the search function, it even highlights the word you searched on. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Quick answer: The McLux is a light that a few of us got together on and made a very few of. McGizmo designed the metal, Dat2zip designed the electronics, Leo stopped sleeping and built all the TK units. There are some Do It Yourself parts on sale now at Dat2zip's store.

Do a search on McLux and you'll find more information than you ever wanted to know.

Sure is a fine looking piece of workmanship. It looks like the style I am interested in too. Maybe I will have a chance to own one some day.

And, thanks for the welcome to the CPF. Except for a quick run to the casino today, I have spent the weekend following thread-after-thread and link-after-link.

Re: What is

...One of the most flexible designs I've seen. If you missed out on the turnkey units, and are somewhat giddy at electronics, a DIY kit's definately what you'll want...
