wiring tapeswitch to tailcap switch, confirm my beliefs

this switch looks like the switch in my jetbeam which i want to connect a tapeswitch to. one difference is with my switch one of the metal tabs curls down to the bottom of the switch where it comes in contact with the metal spring in the tailcap

my question is. the tape switch has 2 wires and the tailcap switch has 2 metal tabs...so would i solder one of the wires from the tapeswitch to each piece of metal that comes out of the switch? or do i need to take the switch apart? does it matter which wire goes to which side?

No....you can solder any wire to any tab....but be carefull wiht the sdoldering iron,,, be quick applying solder with the iron tip...or else the switch will melt...
