The following photos are linked from Paul Kim's site and are for your enjoyment only and are not intented to make you drool or do any impulse buys since most of they can't be bought..

Mr. PK, if you don't like the photos linked here, let me know and I'll delete this topic.

yclo,
I am proud to say that the bezel plug was my idea.
I did think to sell them to CPF members (Only !!) at a mere $10 ea. including FREE shipping to anywhere in the world.

OK, so it's just a film canister top ......

Haven't tested this yet, but it should be waterproof - it fits very tightly.
If you want to try this, photo developers will give them away for nothing.
Just make sure that they're the lid type which click inside the canister, not the ones that secure over the outside of the canister.

(That's grey and red Spectra cord in the background, Don.)

And a mighty fine lanyard in the last shot - any comments, Mr McGizmo ?

Re: Interesting photos from pk\'s site.

The other end of the Berkeley Point lanyard is a split ring, right? I use the lanyard swapped end for end. What's the other end attached to? And how?

It just seems odd to see the mini clip at the working end of the lanyard.

As to the all-cord lanyard, I use a cinch knot because it seems much more secure. I'd worry about that SF flinging off into space with only a loose loop.

Gorgeous photography! Thank you.

I knew a headlamp was in the works! The absolute silence from the SF brain trust was the key!!

SC3!!

Yes, it is a good day for a SF fan.

Good thing I sucked down PK's entire website on 9/17. It's over 322MB in PDF!

dilettante,
the headlamp was just PK fooling around, sorry to disappoint you.

McGizmo,
will no doubt make one that looks really good, and then say he can't do a production run of them. (Don, one photo clearly showed a Cetacea lanyard as the chosen retainer, and very nice too.

Geoffchan,
mail me, I'll send you some of the film-can tops which do fit properly.

OK guys, I've never done this before but how do you post these images? I do not have a home page I could host these images at. I guess I could just e-mail those few (hopefully) who are interested in these images. They'll be in PDF format.

Re: Interesting photos from pk\'s site.

lightlover,

The headlamp can't be a joke. It simply isn't possible.

PK isn't a kidder. No siree, not that pk. He had it on his head. It made light. There was a strap around his head. Therefore, it's a headlamp.

In all seriousness, although you say it was a joke, a headlamp really isn't that far away if The Man would just do it. As I undertand the new KL2, it will fit on a G2. This nitrolon based beauty just needs to be molded a little differently and voila! it's a headlamp.

It's just seems that all the parts are already there in the bins; someone ought to put 'em together in the right order.
