Hiya all,

For a bit of fun I thought I'd get a L1D tube to convert my L2D to a single cell AA.

The tube arrived today but its not cooperating... when I stick the cell in the light doesn't turn on.

When I twist the head around a bit, it does turn on and then it wont turn on again.

Is it perhaps that the cell is running low? When I use the two cells in the L2D it works fine.

What's up with that?

Well, I tried a freshly charged NiMh in it and it seems to like it well enough.

I get all the different levels.....

I assume its not going to blow up on me....? Its a Duracell 2650 mAh.

I've used RCRs in my L2D for a while now and it seemed quite happy with them...

...but those were 2450 mAh.

Two Li-Ion batteries have too much voltage for the L2D, you may have burn out the boost circuit. Li-Ion batteries are about 4.2v off charger, so 4.2v X 2= 8.4v which exceeds the L2D's max voltage which = :poof:

Edit: When you say RCR's I assume you meant 2x 14500 Li-Ion batteries.
