I just saw on the news a little while ago that film maker John Hughes has died of a heart attack at the age of 59. What a shame. I may just have to watch The Breakfast Club this weekend.

Sad news. Didn't he direct the Ferris Bueller movie also? RIP sir, and roll the closing credits. It's a long list. :candle:

Perhaps his greatest accomplishment was to get out of Hollywood unscathed and return to his Mid Western roots. Supposedly he did not want to raise his kids in the hedonistic Hollywood atmosphere. Good for him!

'Breakfast Club' in one of the best movies ever made.

He'll be missed - no one ever came close to filling the gap he left.
