Here is a comparison of the latest high-output offering by Ultrafire, versus last year's top model.
Model: Ultrafire RL-2008
Range: 1m
ISO: 100
Aperture: f/10
Shutter: 1/125
Focal length: 15mm (70mm at 35mm sensor equivalent)
White Balance: Cloudy
Model: Ultrafire WF-1000L
Range: 1m
ISO: 100
Aperture: f/10
Shutter: 1/125
Focal length: 15mm (70mm at 35mm sensor equivalent)
White Balance: Cloudy
Side by Side Comparison
Reflectors
Note glow stickers are my customisation and are not standard.
Conclusions
The RL-2088 may for a satchel pocket where the WF-1000L may not, due to the form factor, but for hiking, emergency use or security work I'd prefer the WF-1000L.
The RL-2088 appears to be of slightly superior manufacture and finish to the WF-1000L.
Disclosure: I am a friend and customer of Hwaswys the maker and have run several group buys of Ultrafire products on britishblades.com
