How do I remove the switch from my Malkoff MD2/4 to clean it?

I got myself an MD2 and MD4, along with an M60W MCE. Amazing light!

I also got some nyogel and deoxit, to give it a tune up.

How do I remove the Kroll switch from the body? I've read somewhere that it unscrews, but which way, in or out?

I'm guessing that is unscrews out of the back of the tube, to do which I will need to remove the rubber boot. I don't want to wreck it if I'm wrong though.

Has anyone done this? Does the rubber boot just pull off?

FoxyRick-pinch down on the boot-you will feel a square knob under the boot.Take a pair of needle-nose pliers and firmly squeeze down on the boot until you can feel the knob.Now turn counter-clockwise until the boot and switch come out.If you damage the boot(you won't) I'm sure Gene will send you one free of charge.
