Sabrewolf has something in the planning stage for this if I remember correctly as well.

Thanks, I read through the Eagletac thread - it was long!

Anyway, I don't think I'm interested in that light. For a premium price, it seems not to be very well thought out.

I'm looking for an 18650 light because I have a bunch of the cells that I liberated from computer batteries.

Most 1-cell lights using Li-ion batteries seem to either be direct-drive or boost-only, which seems like a bad idea (and poorly regulated) for a power source with a usable voltage range spanning 2.4 to 4.2. So, I'm interested in a 2-cell 18650 light (perfect for buck regulation). A side-by-side form factor just seemed like it would be handier.

Any ideas for conventional (in-line) lights at a good price would be welcome. Perhaps I should start a different thread with that question.

Also, since the computer cells appear to be unprotected, a flashlight with undervoltage cutoff would be nice.

thanks!
