checking battery level with multitester???

My wf139 doesn't have a way of checking what's left in a battery so i'm wondering is there a way to check that with a multi tester or does it just give you voltage potential. My tester is pretty standard acv , dcv and ohms.

You can get a decent idea of state of charge of a lithium cell by measuring its voltage. 4.2V is 100%, 3.7V is ~20%, and it's about linear in between.
